COVID-19 vs The Caribbean: Confirmed Cases as at April 3 2020

Coronavirus Image (Source: CDC)

I’ll be publishing a weekly snapshot showing the number of cases of COVID-19 across the Caribbean.

Things to note:

  1. I define the Caribbean as member and associate member states of CARICOM.
  2. The focus is on confirmed cases only. However, confirmed cases are not all cases, just the ones that tested positive. Furthermore, testing rules and availability may vary by country.
  3. There are three data sources: World Health Organization Daily Situation Reports, John Hopkins COVID-19 Map, and Loop News COVID-19 Map/Table.
  4. The above sources are checked every Friday night with data being keyed into an Excel spreadsheet.
