February 2019 saw five murders taking place in Barbados (14 for the year so far). Two occurred in St. Michael and one murder per parish in St. Thomas, St. George and St. Philip. All of the victims were male and all except one died as a result of gun play. While the table below lists six individuals, Kadeem Ifill’s death – highlighted in yellow – involved the local authorities, and was not included in the count. The data was collected and compiled based on available media reports at the time. See below charts for additional details and analysis.
