300,000+ Vaccines Delivered to Barbados

Barbados has received at least 331,000 vaccines since the start of the year. This number was obtained through the use of some Google-fu and information published on the Barbados Government Information Service website. The latter was searched, via Google, for certain key words and phrases including: vaccines, donations, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, et cetera.

Despite having received 300,000+ vaccines over the last several months (AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer), via four different sources (India, USA, Canada and COVAX), there have been 3 deaths during the last few days, children are making up 15 to 20% of cases, and less than 50% of the population have been fully vaccinated (35.7% as at September 15).

It is important to note that this number (300,000+) may be under-reported as it is based on publicly available information. Also, some of the vaccines delivered to Barbados may have been shared with other countries (as was the case with Delivery #1 from India).
